These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Courier Shield, including the Shopify embedded app, admin backoffice, courier integrations, shipping label generation, and support features.

1. Acceptance and account use

By installing or using the app, the merchant agrees to these Terms of Service and to Shopify’s platform rules that apply to apps and merchant data. The merchant is responsible for all activity that occurs through the store account and any internal admin accounts used to access the service.

2. App functionality

The app is designed to help merchants manage courier dispatch, fraud review, shipping labels, order status workflows, and support operations. Functionality may depend on:

  • Valid Shopify scopes and store authorization.
  • Correct merchant courier credentials and webhook setup.
  • Availability and behavior of third-party courier systems and APIs.
  • Accurate store order, customer, address, and product data provided by the merchant.

3. Merchant responsibilities

  • Provide accurate courier credentials, store identifiers, pickup details, and webhook configuration.
  • Use the app only for lawful business activity and only for stores and data the merchant is authorized to manage.
  • Review orders before dispatch, especially COD, fulfillment, and address details.
  • Not attempt to misuse the app to access unauthorized Shopify, courier, or customer data.

4. Third-party courier services

The app may connect to third-party courier providers such as Steadfast, Pathao, RedX, and Carry Bee. Those providers operate independently. We are not responsible for courier downtime, API limitations, hidden fraud metrics, delivery delays, parcel losses, or decisions made by third-party systems.

5. Data and privacy

Use of the app is also subject to the Privacy Policy. The merchant authorizes the app to process store, order, customer, and courier data as required to provide the app’s features.

6. Availability and changes

We may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app to maintain security, comply with platform requirements, or support new workflows. We may also update these terms when product, legal, or operational requirements change.

7. Warranty disclaimer

The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, courier disputes, or business interruption arising from use of the app or connected courier systems.

9. Termination

The merchant may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it from Shopify. We may suspend or terminate access if required for security, legal compliance, platform rules, fraud prevention, or misuse of the service.
